Sennheiser PXC 250 Active Noise Canceling Headphones - Better Than More Expensive Models!

Sennheiser's PXC 250 uses NoiseGard technology for active noise reduction by reducing background noise below the 500 Hz frequency range by 15 dB (most background noise occurs below 500 Hz). To human ears, we perceive that as a 50% reduction in background noise. NoiseGard technology requires 2 AAA batteries for the noise reduction circuit to function.

All active noise canceling headphones use a noise reduction circuit or microphone to cancel out the background noise from your environment. What makes the Sennheiser PXC 250 Active Noise Canceling Headphones different is that you can listen to your audio even if the noise canceling feature is turned off! The higher-priced models don't offer this feature. That means when they run out of battery power - you can't listen to your music! How frustrating would it be to pay $200 or $300 for a basic set of high-dollar ear muffs? Not so with the Sennheiser PXC 250 Headphones. If your batteries run down while you're busy out on the go, you can still listen to your music.

Sennheiser PXC 250 Active Noise Canceling Headphones Are Designed For High-Fidelity Sound

Let's face it - inexpensive headphones usually suffer from poor sound quality. Either they have way too much bass (by falsley boosting the bass frequencies) or not enough bass. Sennheiser's PXC 250 heaphones feature a tuned, ported design allowing for more air flow which means better bass response without boosting the bass frequencies. This translates into a more natural, full frequency range from your headphones. If you desire pristine audio quality from your headphones, Sennheiser PXC 250 Active Noise Canceling Headphones provide what you need!

This feature makes these headphones the ideal noise canceling headphones for traveling. Now you can enjoy your music anywhere and easily store your headphones safely when you arrive.

Customer Reviews Of The Sennheiser PXC 250 Active Noise Canceling Headphones

"After many hours of online researching and trips to ... electronic stores I decided on this pair. ... I personally was looking for a good set of headphones that I could use on a plane. These more than exceeded my expectations... 5 Stars, buy if you intend to use for travel." - Jason S., Texas

"At this price, especially, I'm very satisfied. They work well at both reducing ambient noise, are very comfortable, and produce an enjoyable sound. Highly recommended." - Torrey P., Maryland

"If you will be spending any time on airplanes this year, I highly recommend you buy yourself a pair of these Sennheisers. I used mine for the first time on a long international flight and was amazed at the results. They did a great job at eliminating roughly 80% of the ambient noise both while listening to music on my MP3 player and watching in-flight movies. It's remarkable how much less fatiguing air travel is if you block out the overwhelming ambient noise." - P. McLain, Washington

"So far I have been very happy with these headphones. ... in my opinion, these headphones are definitely worth the money. ... All in all, I am very satisfied with my Sennheiser PXC250's." - Music Lover, California

"My Bose noise cancelling headphones recently died on me. They were the original model, but with a daughter at college I really didn't fancy shelling out $250+ for a new pair. I spotted these and at the price I decided to buy a pair. After trying them for a few hours all I can say is that Bose just lost a customer. These are very good. Comfortable to wear, effective and they sound great. I highly recommend them." - Mr.B., California

If you are willing to spend $20 on head phones then look no further than the Sony MDR-V150 Studio Monitor Stereo Headphones. I have been using this head phones for a 6 months now and I believe these head phones are far superior than the $100 pair I used to own. I use these head phones primarily at my place of work because it helps cut down on the office noise while I am listening to music or a podcast.

Since these head phones cover the ears really well (sorry elves) you get most out of the audio even when the volume level is at minimum. Of course these are not like the Bose head phones that are specifically designed for noise canceling but hey if you want to spend over $100 on head phones you wouldn't be on hubpages reading this article.

This pair of head phones is ideal for an office setting and I have also used them while traveling over night. It definitely cuts down on the airplane noise and you can definitely avoid your neighbor's snoring.

Also the best parts of this headphone is that the cord that comes with the headphones is rather long so you can move around your desk while listening to music without being afraid of pulling out the had headphones from the jack. Also the head phones are adjustable so it is really made for humans with heads of all shapes and sizes.

Great Hub and very informative. I really like the section about comfort. All of the other suggestions mean little to me, if the headphones are not comfortable. Unfortunately, I think some people put emphasis on these other things before comfort. Thanks again
